Ortho Consulting Group use the email service of MailChimp to send out larger direct email campaigns, such as newsletters and event invitations.
MailChimp use single pixel gifs, also known as web beacons, in every email. These are very small graphic files that contain unique identifiers that enable MailChimp and Ortho Consulting Group to recognise when subscribers have opened an email or clicked certain links. These record each subscribers email address, IP address, date, and time associated with each open and click for a campaign. This data is used to create reports about how an email campaign performed and what actions subscribers took – including unsubscribes requests.
You can delete the pixel by deleting the email. If you do not wish to download the pixel to your computer or other device, you can ensure this by selecting to receive emails from us, or other parties, in plain text rather than HTML, or not opening pictures in your email.
You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
We have also installed the One Trust tool which displays the cookies in use and allows users to switch on and off if necessary.
